Dezarin Reference

EDIT: Didn't like the expressions because they weren't consistent so I took those out and added a color palette.

Dezarin, pronounced 'Dez-ah-reen' has been living at the Facility for almost her entire life. Of those still at the Facility, she's also been there the longest- which means, unfortunately for her, she gets to act as the newbies guide, or as she puts it 'babysits' them. Dezarin acts as Blue's guide for the first few episodes, much to her disdain. Her home and family are the Facility, and she's especially close to Agnes.

I decided to put all her relevant information here than on the picture this time. I can't seem to get the skin tones right yet without adjusting the hue :I Oh well.

Personality: Reserved, Artistic, Irritable, Reliable
Living the longest at the Facility, Dezarin has grown up to be a bit of a loner from the others, as many of those at the Facility come and go within a few years, leaving her behind. She prefers the company of her pencils, ipod, and sketchbook to people any day, keeping a distance from the others, but she will act friendly enough to those she speaks to in passing. She dislikes talking about her time before coming to the Facility, and becomes irritable when Blue asks about it. Dezarin doesn't take crap from anyone, but if you need anything, she's your girl.
Ability: She can absorb heat. The more thermal energy she absorbs, the redder her hair gets, and if it turns completely red, it catches fire. She can then convert the thermal energy she's gathered to kinetic energy and gains incredible speed until her hair goes out. Dumping water on her hair reverts her back to normal quicker, although you'd have to catch her first. She's also never felt cold.
Likes: Drawing, painting, music, laughing, s'mores, collecting buttons like the ones on her messenger bag.
Dislikes: Nosy people, losing her stuff, people making fun of her power because she looks like a candle when it's activated.
Extra: She sees Agnes as a mother figure.

Roses with Thorns - Arc 1

A blue haired boy wakes up in an unknown place with only a couple frantic voices and the name 'Astral' remaining in his memory. Taking on the name 'Blue' after the words 'Blue-II' engraved in the collar that won't come off his neck, he learns he's at a place known to it's inhabitants as simply 'The Facility'- a research area that supports and studies those with genetic abnormalities that allow them special abilities. Finding out later that his missing memory is intentional to keep him- and others- safe, until they find out more about his powers, Blue should have no reason to distrust them as they treat him with patience and kindness- right? Not. Blue is completely distrustful, even as his supposed friend White, an empath, insists that nobody is lying to them. Vowing to figure the truth out, Blue may find he needs a bit of unexpected help to uncover the memories being kept from him.
